| Location: |
Located at Eastern Beach of the World Heritage listed Fraser Island. Only 2.5 hours travelling time from Hervey Bay and 1.5 hours travelling time from Rainbow Beach. |
| Accomm: |
Fraser Island's only private campground is situated on the Eastern side of the island on 25 acres of shady natural surronds. We have a variety of accommodation including two and three bedroom Standard Cabins, 2 bedroom Ensuited Cabins, Powered Sites, and Unpowered Sites. |
| Nearby Attractions: |
Fraser Island is the only rainforest growing out of sand in the world – which is just one of the reasons it is a World Heritage Listed Site! Highlights include Lake Wabby & Mackenzie, Champagne Pools, Indian Head, Waddy Point, the boardwalk at Eli Creek, The Coloured Sands, Red Canyon and The Maheno Shipwreck.
Hervey Bay is reputed to be one of the best places in the world to see Humpback Whales from July to October (and can sometimes be seen from Eastern Beach of Fraser Island). The whales purposely venture into the bay to rest and relax before again heading south on their return voyage to their summer feeding grounds in Antarctica. |
| Special Activities: |
Fraser Island is an adventure wonderland that offers activities such as swimming in pristine freshwater lakes, bush & beach walking, fishing, 4WD, and scenic fixed wing aircraft (with beach landings!). |
| Facilities: |
Facilities at the park include a convenience store, bottle shop, fuel, bait and ice, laundry, picnic areas, with light take away meals & frozen BBQ packs available. |
